About SA-ITF

The South Africa International Taekwon-Do Federation (SA-ITF) is the largest national governing body for Taekwon-Do in South Africa. It is also the oldest Taekwon-Do organization in Southern Africa with roots as far back as 1967.

The SA-ITF has affiliates in practically all South Africa's provinces. The SA-ITF is affiliated to applicable global organizations to ensure proper representation for its members internationally, while local quality is ensured through emphasis on high level technical training. All the SA-ITF's main structures have access to 4th Dan or higher internationally certified instructors. South Africa is also privileged with a resident 8th Dan master from Korea.

Furthermore, the SA-ITF has one of the most advanced constitutions for a body of this nature in South Africa. The SA-ITF is the Taekwon-Do leader in Africa and well known internationally, with its president, Mr Dirk Nel, acting on the Executive Council of ITF, the international governing body.
